Dr. Quan Dau is a postdoctoral fellow in hydro-climate at the University of Prince Edward Island, Canada. He recently joined the Water Resources and Environmental Institute in Thailand as a research assistant; Heriot-Watt University in the United Kingdom as a postdoctoral researcher; the National Research Institute of Agriculture- Food- Environment in France as a postdoctoral fellow; and UNESCO Vietnam as a consultant.
Quan DAU's research area focuses on understanding water science and global climate change including, but not limited to, hydrological cycle, water resources planning and management, water quality, remote sensing and spatial analysis, artificial neural network, climate change adaptation, irrigation water management, socio-economic projection, reservoir optimisation, hydrological/hydraulic modelling, and natural disasters.

Developed reservoir optimisation model for managing water resources system in the Seine river, France
Researched on the impacts of climate and socio-economic changes on water resources system in the Himalayan catchment.
Involved with various water-related problems (i.e. flood, drought) in Asia region.
Designed floating house and other hydraulic structural such as pier, bridge for several projects in the Mindanao State, Philippines.
